Walk & Talk​

Walk and Talk therapy takes your counselling sessions outdoors, merging the benefits of talk therapy with the soothing influence of nature. Rather than being limited to an office or home setting, you can participate in therapy while walking outside. This method can effectively regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, clear the mind, and provide lasting benefits for memory and cognition. For many clients, this approach is more comfortable than traditional face-to-face or Zoom sessions.

Is Walk and Talk Therapy right for me?
For some clients, walking side by side feels more comfortable and can lead to deeper, more creative thinking. This approach allows you to process experiences differently.
While outdoor therapy offers unique benefits, it also means we have less control over the environment compared to a traditional indoor setting. We may encounter interruptions from people, animals, or events. However, this does not diminish the therapeutic value; it simply provides a different experience.

​Location: Pacific Spirit offers an excellent trail system through old-growth forests that are mostly flat trails. This Vancouver gem is easily accessible by bus or car (plenty of free parking)
